Rimmel Lasting Finish Blendable Powder Blush Review
Dagnabbit, Rimmel! Why you lot gotta keep drawing me in?
The person in accuse of packaging over there sure knows how to grab my attention. They did information technology a few weeks ago with the font on those tubes of Royal Gloss, and now this??
Dear the crown on these $5 pans of Lasting Finish Blendable Powder Blushes.
Ahh… information technology's the little touches that get me every time, especially when nosotros're talking almost upkeep beauty products and tempered expectations. Hither, for a mere five buckaroos, I However feel like I'm getting the majestic treatment. 🙂
Wintertime Glow
If you haven't tried these blushes yet, well, I recall y'all're in for a care for. I've been toying around with iii of the eight Lasting Finish chroma colors — Drupe, Pink Rose and Wintertime Glow — lately, and now I can't wait to see more than.
All dark long
I've had some trubs lately with disappearing blushes (ahem, NARS Sin and Cactus Flower!), but these bodacious budget babes totally outlast their pricier competition. Yesterday, I swept Pink Rose on my cheeks first affair at 8, and the colour was nonetheless true a full 14 hours later! 🙂
Pink Rose
A natural affluent
Really, is it safe to expect much from a $5 blush? I admit I didn't expect a lot. I braced myself for blush that looked chunky and inexpensive on my cheeks. Fifty-fifty when I swept my blush brush beyond the cute lil' crown in the pan, information technology kicked up big, disconcerting grains of pulverisation.
"Uh, oh," I thought, but no worries… The product melts into the peel, leaving behind a natural flushed look worth way more than $five.
Of course, Rimmel didn't go way out on a limb when it comes to the colors in the line. They kept it basic, with a standard selection of browns, berries, pinks and peaches, all with medium pigmentation, and that means nothing as edgy as MAC Dollymix or NARS Exhibit A hither (at least not nevertheless).
Berry
Fragile
I retrieve the compact the blushes come in could use a piffling refining. It feels flimsy to me (the lid wiggles), and I'm afraid they won't take much jostling about at the lesser of a makeup bag. We'll encounter… I'll be one cranky gal the twenty-four hours one of these opens up!
From left: Wintertime Glow, Pink Rose
Regardless, I'll gladly take the risk. 🙂 For $5, the Lasting End Blushes are tough to beat, and they're possibly the all-time drugstore blushes I've seen in a while. What a great fashion to expand a blush collection without spending an arm and a leg! Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A+
